I’m sure most of us have the desire to get into great shape and to lose a few pounds before summer arrives or even before the year is over. Are these desires written on paper? Are they specific and measureable?
If you’re serious about accomplishing your fitness and health goals, the following are a few tips shared by a personal trainer nyc to help you get to the end result on your fitness journey by mapping out the steps to your plan.
1. Set your fitness and health goal that is achievable. I know that some of us would love to lose 30 pounds in 30 days but is that truly realistic? Make your health and fitness goal something that is challenging yet achieveable. “I want to train to run 5 miles in 90 days.”
2. Set a deadline. Most of us will set a goal but will not set a deadline by when to achieve the goal. Make sure you see the light at the end of the tunnel.
3. Create mini-goals. Sometimes losing 50 pounds or running a marathon are just to big of goals to see all at once. It’s better to chop it up in small bite-size pieces. If you achieve your mini-goal that means you’re close to achieving the big one!
4. Reward yourself. You went to the gym for 5 straight days or you tried out that Spin class you’ve promised yourself for over a year. Now how are you going to celebrate?
